Maori Hill School

Maori Hill School had their last day of tennis on Friday 4th March with TennisPlus+ Coaching as a tournament day.

We were only able to see a total of 3 rooms this term but this will grow next season. Out of these 3 rooms we ended up with a total of 24 children talent identified and 3 weeks were spent preparing them to play their first 1/2 Court tournament which was used to set up the schools 1/2 Court age group ladders.

A big thank you to the schools groundsman,Gavin, for painting 4 new 1/2 Courts the day before the tournament. Thank you also to Mya Haigh and Claudia Christie for umpiring all the matches on the top 2 courts and to the parents who umpired matches on the bottom 2 courts.

Thank you to Disa Walker who assisted Matt and Shaun with organising everything needed to run both the coaching and matchplay portions of the visits.

Testimonial from Disa Walker: “Thank you very much to both Shaun and Matt for running such a superb 4 weeks of tennis for our students. All our students enjoyed themselves and it was a treat to see the children who were talent identified play in the tournament on the last day. We look forward to our students continuing to play more matches on our 4 newly painted courts. I would encourage other schools to make contact with Shaun and Matt as the coaching they provided as well as the tournaments at the end were fantastic. Thank you Shaun and Matt”.
